In 2011, Jebsen announced the joint hands Project Morning Star with Orbis, a five-year sight saving project throughout Mainland China. By the end of 2015, Jebsen has donated CNY5,152,305 to Orbis, which has supported 6 Orbis sight saving programs in 5 Chinese Provinces and the 3rd generation Orbis Flying Eye Hospital. Millions of local residents in rural area of China have benefited from the project.

Following the tremendous achievement and results of Project Morning Star Phase I (2011-2015), Jebsen and Orbis join together and enter Phase II (2016-2020), Jebsen agrees to contribute CNY7,400,000 to help Orbis build up a training, screening and referring eye care network covering county level hospitals, township and village eye care clinics in the rural area of China, so that an efficient and sustainable model can be developed to solved the key problems of Chinese eye care system.

In addition to the sponsorship, Jebsen employees have been deeply involved in Project Morning Star. Every year, more than 20 Jebsen employees go on field trips to actually meet and work hands-on with the health workers who have received training and conduct sustainable voluntary work for local residents and children who have had their sight restored by the project.
